Dear Teacher,

We all understand that today’s kids are thrilled to produce their father’s favorite musicals (like Annie or Cats, first staged in 1982), grandfather’s favorite (Oklahoma!, 1955 or The King and I, 1956) or even great-grandfather’s Anything Goes (1936) or older. But if you suspect that the audience has seen it all before, and maybe more than once J, here is your chance to get something new for your theatre program.

Completed in 2006, Solo on Sax is about teenagers today, their problems and desires. Set in a fictitious town in sunny California, these kids believe Arnold Schwarzenegger, invest in the stock market, enjoy life, and don’t want to work. With a lot of subtle humor (but no pie throwing), it is a fun and easy show.

For 6 to 66 dancing girls and boys. Especially suitable for multi-cultural schools as it has Jewish, Indian, and Mexican dances.

Royalty-free till September 1, 2007.
