Nice and easy as it is, the play opens the door for cognitive and moral development of the actors. “Get inside” the characters  with these and other activities:

Write a letter:

· As Leon to his old friend after Paula moved out;

· As Furball to Shipsa school principal;

· As Paula’s biology professor to her parents four years after the end of the story;

Create a forum theatre to discuss:

· What does it mean to come to America from India, Mexico, Korea, Russia?

· What does it mean to be Jewish in America today, in Austria in 1938, in Spain in 1200s, in Rome in 100 AD?

Write and play a skit:

· Yeon Yee argues with Paula about the importance of having a career for a girl;

· Mike, Leon, and Paula’s parents discuss real-estate in California.
